Question about exercise and a fistula.

I have a fistula that's been feeling better thanks to it bursting and antibiotics. Does anyone know if physical exercise such as basketball will aggravate it? I'm taking a trip to D.C. tomorrow with the political science club at my school until Saturday. I haven't played in about 2 weeks since I've been resting up after my fistula bursted. Has anyone experienced this before? I really want to play some basketball to get my mind off of everything that's been happening lately.

Heck kid I took one on vacation with me to the Bahamas! Do what you want to do! Live life to the fullest. Just dont go anywhere without some antibiotics with you thats my trick!

Trust me, I've been all over the world in the worst of times. Dubai, Jordan, Bosnia, Japan, Australia. Heck, I even hiked through Petra in my worst flare. That was probably the most nerve racking thing I've ever done. NO bathrooms anywhere. I was alright though. I'm not worried about my Crohn's acting up. I'm just worried about my fistula acting up because it sure can hurt..a lot!

I started an intense workout problem about a week after my seton was placed in my fistula. My fistula has also been to Mexico with me! :) As Heather1959 said...do what you want...your body will tell you if you shouldn't or if you just need to slow down. Have fun!
