Double balloon endoscopy...

Following arguments of do we admit her or not!! Not being the one that won, given the fact it's a holiday
weekend! My temp is still up, not much in the way of bowel sounds, but I'm taking comfort in the fact I'm
not totally obstructed!!

She's booking me in for a double balloon endoscopy to see if they might be able to dilate the stricture.
If not, then I have to have another resection. Something she don't want to do as I'm getting short on
'gut' her words not mine!!

I just wish I felt better!

Geeeezzzz Vicky, the easter bunny just laid the wrong kind of an egg on you. I do hope it all works out soon and for the best. I get the balloon deal done to my esophagus . I have a narrowing there and they have stretched it more than one time. Hope it works well for you but a chocolate bunny and a gold brick would have been far more fun for you I am sure. Take care and keep us up to date.

Wish I could bring that warm fuzzy feeling to you but sadly I look more like Santa than the Easter Bunny. May be some consolation for you to know your on my , nice , list . Naughty list is very short and usually only has my name . Guess you could say I'm a stinker , in more ways than one , but wanted you to know I'm thinking about you and hoping all this is just a bump in the road soon past . Wishing you a happy Easter, yeah, like that can happen in the hospital , but its the thought that counts right ? Sometimes we cant see any good in things until we can see the good in things. Sounds dumb but think of the guy at the ball game that said, " I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me ." Get all the rest you can, ask for pain med when you need, listen to the doc, keep us up to date and most of all, get better soon.......

Gail, they're doing a MRI entography next week, so they can see exactly where the stricture/ obstruction
is, Then within a week of that, they will do the balloon endoscopy. I'm still worried that this is not gonna
stretch any. She also told me, that if we have to do a resection they have to take plenty for clearance, I
think that's what's bothering her the most!!

I guess I'm in good hands. I hope you all have a Happy Easter Time, health and weather permitting!!
