During my small bowel series, the radiologist found narrowing of my terminal ileum and what he thinks might be the string sign. Today, I'm having intermittent pain in my lower right quadrant. I know the appendix is next to the TI, so how do I tell the difference between the pain?

According to the Mayo Clinic, a doc might press in on the area, and then release. If the pain is WORSE when the doc releases pressure, then it might be appendicitis.

I think its kinda hard to tell. I had my perfectly healthy appendix out, when come to find out it was an obstruction in my small bowel. Ended up having to have a resection only a few years later. Hugs!
