Re being between a 20 and a 30 on that scale, are you on your way up, or your way down?

Are you doing anything, e.g. a graded exercise programme, to help lift you up?

I would have to say that I have been at this same spot for years
I have tried to walk at least back from my dr appts but I am so knocked out from that and the Crohn's there's nothing much more I can do
I know that you are supposed to do a little exercise and a bit more each week etc but I've just been too ill.
I have had to be on this "white" low residue diet for over a year now.. no cheating at all as my stricture is so long and narrow.. It's all scar tissue by now no doubt
I get B12 shots once a month.. and take a huge assortment of vitamins and minerals inc flaxseed etc but I am still anemic

As I mentioned before I had many jobs that were quite strenuous and have also had to work days on end at times so I remember what decent used to feel like
I knew when we were painting some walls over a year ago that something was terribly wrong as I got sooo tired and it hurt for sooo much longer than it used to

You may have already read in some of my prior postings that my GI surgery has had to be postponed due to the DX of a cerebral aneurysm which I may be operated on this week. It is all so scary. Fibro at the moment and the tiredness is the least of my probs.. and I was so hoping that after the GI surgery I could eat salads again and fiber and then I know I would have started to feel better so much sooner.. but now that will all have to wait..

Sorry, NY; I wasn't trying to give you are hard time; just trying to work out if you're on a proper treatment programme, or just meds.

A graded exercise programme isn't strenuous: you start at about two minutes a day, and build up from there. And those two minutes aren't hard, either. A physiotherapist started me on mine, at the doctors' request.

It's so frustrating, isn't it, when we do everything right and get nowhere... and end up with more and more problems piled on top of the ones we already have. I feel for you, NYV.

I didn't realise you had surgery scheduled so soon - fell behidn on reading the forums over the last few days, so I'll have to go back and reread your posts.

It sounds as if you don't have a definite date yet?

Keep hanging in there. :-(

It was my fault for not writing a new signature.. There wasn't enough space to write my latest ailment
I started a thread I think it was last week about the fact that I can't have my resection now because I was just DX with a brain aneurysm.. sigh
and yes it never seems to end..

the thing that I keep telling myself is that whenever it's a nice day.. GO OUT! but then I don't because I am so weak and hurt so much.. and then the next day is lousy out or I feel worse and I say to myself YOU SEE YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE OUT YESTERDAY!

we are our own worst enemies... that's a double entendre coming from a woman with about 4 auto-immune diseases..LOL

Good grief. How on earth did I manage to miss that thread? That's really horrible, NYV. I suppose, in the long run, it'll be a good thing they've discovered the aneurysm before they operate on your gut, but right now, it must feel like terrible timing.

I feel for you so much. Sometimes it's hard not to feel as if you are being given too many burdens, and too quickly, and the grief & frustration of dealing with *that*, on top of all the medical stuff, can be so hard, and so overwhelming.

My thoughts and good wishes are with you :-(.
