Question about medications??

I understand that Entocort is used when the inflammation is in the TI. However what type of medications are used to control the inflammation if it is higher up in the digestive tract or is it only Prednisone.

I have an appt with my Gi next week and was wondering what type of options are available for me. My family doctor after seeing some reports things I have either have in the "J" part or higher up the ileum.??

Ive had a lot of luck with methotrexate for the small bowel. I originally had Crohns colitis, with all of the disease process taking place in the colon and rectum but since removing all of that over multiple surgeries it has since moved to my terminal illiuem and I have a lot of luck with it.

They really do use the same types of medications, its just going to depend on what works better for you. Also Pentasa tends to work better for the small bowel rather then asacol works better for the colon.
