Hi everybody,
It's been a week now that I have balanitis. I visited the GUM and he gave me some blood tests but everything was ok (hemogram, lymphocytes, urea, glucose). Since I haven't had any sexual intercourse in the past three weeks, the doctor told me he had no idea why I was experiencing it.
I am on a trip to south america now, and I have been here for the past three weeks. I thought it might be due to different water, soap, etc? But the GUM discharged my assumptions.
Then I cann't avoid wondering: is Crohn now attacking my penis too? I would really really really like to keep it healthy :-S
Has anybody else experienced something like this before?

Well I have never heard of it, and why would I, I am female:) So went to look up what it was, and HELLO!! Didn't expect to see those pictures:) LOL
Anyways they were saying it could be caused also by infection. But, I do know that I have read of other men on the forum discussing their privates were swelling and they had no known reason why. So its possible it could be due to Crohns or you picked up some infection over there. Hugs!

Somewhere in my memory: balanitis can be associated with IBD in connection with reactive arthritis or Reiters. . . syndrome. Something to check, though that may not be possible in S. America depending on circumstances.
Good luck.

I had that, didn't know what it was, but knew it was cd related, my penis would swell up and would be hot to touch(man that sounds bad). my wife loved it, just kidding there. it went away after awhile, a few months, this was also my early stages of cd, I ended up with fistula on bladder that ate hole into small intestines, so I was urinating food particles.
