Hi, everyone!
I have had Crohn's Disease for 17 years. I have been treating my Crohn's with Chinese herbs for 17 years. Most of the time I have very little symptoms, but I know I have strictures in my small bowel for 10 years.
Last night, some unusual symptoms happened to me. Begging at 11:30PM I started feeling abdominal pains and nausea. The pain came in like waves. But I had a couple of BM last night - normal. By 3:30AM, I could no longer stand the pain and nausea, then an ambulance took me to the local hospital emergence room. In the ER, I finally threw up, after that, the pain and nausea gradually decreased and almost completely gone in the afternoon.
In the ER, the doctor asked me to do a CT scan. Because it would take a good 4-5 hours, I declined, because I needed to take my wife to a job interview.
After all this, was this isolated incidence caused by bowel obstruction, a stomach bug or just a flare of Crohn's? Before last night, I went to the same ER for the same reason about 10 months ago. Is this something that I really need to look into?
Thanks, everyone.
Paul
