I only get them when my Crohn's is active. Kidney stones are some of the extraintestinal lesions (EIL) that can be complications of IBD. The most common EIL is arthritis which is found in 25 percent of patients. Skin lesions are in 15 percent of patients. Serious liver disease affects about
5 percent. Other EILs are serious eye inflammation, kidney stones, and gallstones. Stunted growth in children.
During my last flare I suffered with the crippling arthritis, eye inflammation, and skin lesions. But those symptoms quickly disappeared when my flare ended.
I have heard that vitamin C, magnesium, and B vitamins esp. B6 are helpful for preventing kidney stones. But please don't just take my word for it, ask your doctor or research it on your own.
