Hi Lovely985,
No, you are not being picky at all!! With this disease, we need as much help as we can and a mini fridge surely helps. Plus it makes more room in the big fridge for food and hides the injections from the roommates who most likely do not want to see them. Colleges are extremely picky as to what you can bring and what you can do even if it is for medical reasons. I'm in college too. This fall I will have my own mini fridge and my own bedroom though i'll share a dorm with 2 other girls. This did not come easily though. I had to fight them on every little reason. Eventually I got my two GI doctors, my Endocrine doctor, AND my regular doctor to all fill out (on their stationary and sign) notes to my University's housing. I learned the hard way not to deal with another girl in my same room - she was needle phobic and a hypochondriac. I'm sure whoever you room with won't be that bad though. Good luck :)
