Do any of you find that you really bruses easy? I am on remicade and wonder if that is why. I get my blood taken every 3 months, and that shows nothing strange. I dropped at sprinkler box ( with the sprinkler in it) on the back of my leg, scraped it and the bruise..ooooh it's ugly.

My skin is really thin from the many times I have had to use steroids over my nearly 36 yrs with this disease. In turn, I bruise REALLY easily and get these ugly blood blister like bruises on my arms and hands even if I barely bump them. Also, I am always borderline anemic too so that doesn't help much either. Hugs your not alone!

I believe all of those drugs causes bruising and thin skin, my arms and hands cut easily, I was on rem. now immuran and pred and asacol, I cut the same with immuran as rem, just makes skin thinner in certain areas of my body

I would get some ugly bruises when I was on Remicade. I can remember one time we went skiing. I fell, not even hard and had thick snow pants on. It was the nastiest bruise, it looked so evil my boyfriend almost made me go to the hospital.

I don't bruise too much now, but I did when I was on Remicade, Humira, or when my flare is out of control.
