Heya Gang,
Went in for my usual slew of blood tests. Came back with higher then ususal lipase and lowering IgG levels.
As for the lipase, I am familliar due to my bouts with pancreatitis and acute pancreatitis over the years, so we are just going to retest ever two weeks and see if this last test result was a fluke (My Gi's words). The lipase test was done after a day of fasting.
Lipase |
16-63 U/L |
22 |
11 |
15 |
20 |
82 |
The IgG levels I have never even eally looked at before, I had to do a tremendous amount of reasearh about antibodies and how they work, still have to admit to being confused and my GI tells me he has no idea why my numbers are dropping and of course he will keep monitoring these numbers as well.
I'm going to post my IgG level numbers here in the off chance anyone has any ideas for me:
IgG |
694-1618 mg/dL |
957 |
748 |
774 |
IgG subclass 1 |
382-929 mg/dL |
504 |
364 |
304 |
IgG subclass 2 |
241-700 mg/dL |
412 |
358 |
322 |
IgG subclass 3 |
22-178 mg/dL |
51 |
38 |
32 |
IgG subclass 4 |
4-86 mg/dL |
26.1 |
23.5 |
18.5 |
All I know is these numbers appear to be steadily dropping and I honestly have no clue if it is imporatant or not, and apparently neither does my GI, although I found several links to CVID and Selective IgG1 Defieciency, but for the most part I dont suffer from any of the respitory function symptoms, unless ya coun't labored breathe from being out of shape from crohns :)
Thanks
Jon
