Anyone in Australia found travel insurance?

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.   I am writing out of desperation after applying for travel insurance with some Australian companies and being knocked back due to my Crohn’s (even though it is in remission).   I am traveling to Thailand on the 26 th September, returning 14 th October, and was wondering if any of the Aussies out there have managed to track down travel insurance which covers their Crohn’s? If not I guess I can take out a policy which does not cover my CD, but wanted to see if anyone has had any luck. I have been faxing forms to my specialist, who kindly signs them, and wastes his previous time as they are knocked back (‘ we don’t cover crohn’s’ )   I’ve contacted the Crohn’s and colitis association of QLD and Australia and had no word back…   Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m absolutely under the pump at work and finding it so hard to get this all sorted! ps. There used to be an Aus Crohn's forum attached to the Crohn's Colitis Aus page. I never joined it because it was, well, annoying, compared to HW, but if you can find it, you might like to join and post your question there too.

You might like to try Shaz, the ostomies mod, who lives in WA. She has a lot to do with Aussie gut folks, and might know of someone who can help you, too.
