I like optimism :) :) I know that my GI and colon surgeon should be on the same page, but I live in northern KY. My GI is in KY, but I have one of the best colon surgeons around at University of Cincinnati Hospital. I had a previous surgeon, but he was not my kind of guy. My new surgeon is practically over qualified haha.
Oh yea I know what that knot thing. Mine has to be adjusted everyday and it is killer.... I Lie to everyone as well... Someone who has never had this problem doesn't quite understand a hole in your body that doesn't belong there. and the few people I have told initially said "Gross" and it's like, hell yea..... try living with it! So I got in the habit of lying pretty good. I just got a new job and they have no idea. And they won't until I get ready for my next surgery lol.
Even when I do not have a current infection, I still have to take the antibiotics. The side effects are bad, but not undearable... The thing that I hate the absolute most, more than any part of this is the fact that I can't sit in just any chair. I have to have lots of padding, of I have to bring a blanket to sit on. And at work meetings and such I have to stand in the corner. Nothing is more humiliating than having to stand while everyone else sits and stares at you. Then comes the lying...
