So I have noticed maybe the start of a yeast infection.

Can Humira, or entocort bring this on. I usually don't get them?? I know when I was on flagyl and cipro I got one.

Just wondering if anyone as had this happen?

When you take antiobiotics they wipe out the bad bacteria as well as the good - so it's easy to get yeast infections. When I was on prednisone (and cipro and flagyl) I had thrush in my mouth, which was disgusting. So gross. Call your doctor, but I'd also advise cutting out all sugar (yes, all, sugar breeds candida in your body which promotes the growth of yeast) and take loads of probiotics. Good luck!

I had them monthly while on the imuran remicade combo so far since on Humira and imuran combo I only had 1 and that was from ABs for a sinus infection

It didn't dawn on me until my Crohn's got a little bit better that I wasn't having as many yeast infections. I chalk it up to one more fun gift from Crohn's.

I used to be prone to yeast infections (hormonal) but since I started taking probiotics daily for the last 5ish yrs I haven't had a single one since....and they really help my crohn's and my IBS so I highly recommend a good quality probiotic daily and indefinitely (flaring or not)...one improtant thing about taking probiotics is when you are taking antibiotics it's really important to take your probiotics at least 2 hours AFTER you're done taking your antibiotics for the day.

I definitely get yeast infections when I'm on antibiotics and have noticed that I also get them spontaneously when my body seems to be fighting the beginnings of a flare. I take acidopholus (nature's way) and eat lots of yoghurt but eventually I have to ask my PCP for diflucan.
