New member to this! New member to Humira. Did four shots of it on dec. 15th. Had a slight headache afterwards. But felt great and energized a few hours later. Couldn't sleep. still had my normal pain. Had only one bowel movement all day. Thank you for that! Used to be going six times a day. Its crazy because some people state that it doesn't help over night or kick in after a few months or so! But this med really gave me a little boost. Also been having more gas. I think gas is way better than bloody painful stools. I experience some cramping around the shots. And also couldn't be the chrons. My left side felt swallon I couldn't breathe right. But thanks for pain meds. I also ate more than I should because for some reason I felt so hungry. Maybe cause it always came straight out not sure! Well I can't really say too much about the humira shots rigtht now. But I can say that, they gave me a boost and I did feel a little drowsy and wanted to fall asleep but like I said for some reason I just couldn't go to sleep. I was sweating also and I had my fan on me. I'm just going to stick it out and go through with these shots because that's all I got left. But I really do have a lot of faith in these shots. I know they will work for me. And others as well. And I have severe chrons disease. Thank you for reading. I don't get on this much but I will try to keep all my experiences and updates posted. I do two humira shots on dec.29th. Wish me luck. And I pray and wish everyone else the best. Just believe in it and keep a positive mind and you can get through anything. Because its up to you if you want to get healed. I also didn't feel as ugly as I did after remicade. I think remicade was much stronger for the body and made me react more diffrently. But yes if your on a med right now that has your chrons under control. Please. I repeat please do not DO NOT get off it because its hard to keep trying new meds. Humira seems to be a great drug. Hope and pray it works for me and others. I plan on discussing futhur more experiences that I may have with humira. I don't mind posting up. So I will update later on to my next dose. Hi Cassyj, very glad to read your update. I hope that Humira continues to work well for you!

Within a minute or two of taking my Humira shot, my mouth salivates as if I just walked into the house during a home made meal being prepared.

Other than a little brief soreness around the injection site, I've not had any other noticeable side effects. Perhaps your headache was from anxiety buildup of getting your first shots?

Thanks for the respond. I think your right about why I got the headache because I didn't notice how much thinking I was doing before doing the shots so you got a good point. I should be doing my next dose December. 29th,2011 so I really pray that it keeps doing good for me, you, and everyone else as well. I will be more than glad to keep you posted and others if they want. I'm greatful to have people intrested in my information, it actually helps me get through this sickness and glad to share info that will help others.

I hope Humira works for you too and continues to work for everyone who has been taking it. I have been taking it for a little more than a year and aside from a few bumps in the road, I've been doing much better than before Humira.

why did you have to come off the remicade? I've been taken off of it too and now switching to humira. the nurse should be calling soon to book my training sesion. I was taken off remi as it was causiong problems for my liver. keep posting.

They took me off remicade because I developed some kind of fungel infection on my scalp that caused my hair to fall out. I was half bald and the doctor was also saying how the hospital wasn't going to keep paying for it. But I should of never came off it because it was doing so good for me except the hair falling out, I think I rather have my hair gone than my intestines and rectum. Remicade it a good drug for chrons it helped me a lot. I hope the best for everyone.
