Anyone have any ideas of why I have intermittent pain in the tips of my digits?? it started in my toes and I thought about
gout (that's what my PCP Dx when I had a similar pain at 17, along with hypoglycemia and a bunch of other things I didn't have because everything was eventually explained by the CD) but the pain is somewhat intense, but not like I've heard of gout described where even the weight of a sheet is excrutiating. I can completely press down on the tips and that doesn't hurt at all. But it feels like I broke a bone in my toes. I know that can't be because I've had no injuries and it moves from toe to toe and then to my fingertips. I thought for a while the pain in my fingertips was because I started to bite my nails so bad, but again realized that it only occurs intermittently - always at night and so far never in the toes and fingertips at the same time. Both toes and fingertips tend to swell and turn slightly red when it happens so I'm leaning towards plain old arthritis stuff... but it's weird.
Anyone know what I'm going through?
