Three days ago, I started to have the same darn severe right lower quadrant pain. More than six months ago and after I started both Methotrexate im injections and Entocort, I became extremely well. However, a month ago, I got a stomach, esophagus and duodenum flare up and was deprived from MTX. I was doing somehow well. And I had two scopes. When the biopsy results were out and it showed that I have active colitis, unremarkable ileal changes along with GERD, gastritis and duodenitis, my GI decided that I should taper Entocort. I posted asking about this before and many fellows answered me thankfully . However, I decided to continue taking Entocort. I even thought of increasing the dose to 9mg for only one week and then go down to 6 mg. But it's not only intestinal pain. I have watery/loose D, general abdominal pain that increases after a bowel movement and lasts for more than an hour, and fatigue. Out of my previous experience, these are signs of a flare up. But I don't want to call my GI. Sometimes, I feel I don't want to see him anymore as he is convinced that the biopsy results are ok but for me, I'm not ok. I don't want to have this horrible pain again that I kept suffering from for 4 years and even tramadol could not relieve it. I also take pentasa tablets 2 g though it really hurts my stomach. Any advice for treating this flare up without contacting my GI will be very appreciated.
Thank you very much.
