Hello all. Came across your post about
Cat's Claw and wanted to comment. I have used it for Crohn's Disease and have had good luck with it. It has been one piece of the many that have helped me. I started taking it and did not have any adverse reactions, but did have the "die off" effect (when you take an anti-fungal/anti-bacterial and it kills off more toxins than the body can release at once) so I did experience more tiredness than usual and then a sore throat/felt like a fever and chills. However, I got lots of rest, drank a lot of water and tea, and continued taking it. After my body was done killing off all the yucky stuff, I began feeling much better.
I do believe that many of the problems associated with Crohn's are caused by bacteria, and therefore taking anti-bacterial supplements can only be beneficial. However since everyone is different I know that what works for one person does not always work for everyone!
Once you get the candida/bacteria, which can grow through the walls of the intestines, out of your system, your gut has a much better environment to heal.
Hope this helps. Everyone's journey is unique. Just wanted to share what has helped me.
