I now have swollen hands, no knuckles can bee seen, left foot more than right, both shoulders, with loss of strength and very painful muscles and tendons. Had joint pain before but this is different. Percocets only help for 3-4 hrs. Just got off of 4 months of tapering prednisone. With high dose, everything went away, got down to 10 mg, everything started coming back. Now off completely. Creatin went up. Verbal diagnosis from GI doc, Crohn's Arthropathy. Seeing a Rheumatologist now. All blood tests are neg for Rheumatoid Arthritis. Need a little support here. Give me some positives please. Off humira.

Had similar issues, although not swelling as bad as you describe. After a long time (1 year +) my GI put me on entocort, and then slowly built up my dose of sulfazine from zero to 1.5 g/day. Sulfazine is an old arthritis med that is effective on both joint pain and colon inflammation. A lot of GIs are using it these days to treat the arthropathy that can come with IBD. It has been very effective for me.

Thanks for the response, I can discuss it with the doc. He put me back on pred 10 mg until I see him next.
