what possitvie changes should i see with remicade

 

  hello,

  i've been on remi for almost a year now. i've done from time to time a full bowel movement but all in all its still the same little stringy king. i dont really know what i was suppose to expect from remicade.

  i wasnt bleeding prior to being put on remi so there was no change there.

  what changes have you seen on remicade meaning the possitive reaction not not the joint pain and negative changes.

Positive changes should mean going into remission, which won't mean exactly the same thing for everybody. But basically, no blood or mucous in stools, no watery stools. No abdominal pain. No fevers. Fistulas should close up.

If you have scar tissue, though, no med will ever get rid of that - only surgery will.

Stringy stools can be a sign of inflammation, but folks with IBS also get thin stools - so it could be a sign of IBS as well. However, if you don't feel better on the Remicade, then you're probably not in remission. I agree with Roni; sounds like time for a checkup.
