Does anyone have issues with diarrhea and nasty cramps with their monthly period? I've been in remission now for 4 years, thanks to Remicade. I had a baby 10 months ago and my period has shown up today. (I'm breast feeding) I just feel really awful today. I'm wondering if the hormonal changes have a worse effect on people with crohn's disease?

Yes, hormones definitely affect Crohn's and long before I had Crohn's I always knew when my period was coming due to the Big D. I hope things settle down soon.

Usually 2 or 3 days before my menses i have a mini-flare up with severe d and cramps.

Yes and unfortunately it gets worse with age :(

yes, after 2 kids i got the mirena iud so i would hopefully be one of the lucky people that got no periods. after a few months i no longer have periods. when i do get the occasional spotting its very light and lasts only a couple days. I haven't bought tampons in a year. LOL
