Humira and blood tests

I started Humira in February but my GI doctor hasn't ordered any blood tests at all.  I am wondering if those of you on Humira get any tests done and if so which tests and how frequently?  I think they should be checking once in awhile to make sure everything is okay. 

I forgot to ask at my last appointment but will call if I find out that someone has possibly forgotten to order some important follow up testing.  Thanks all.

I've been on humira since march, and I do get blood tests every month, or every time I see my GI which seems to work out that I get blood taken every month. I get my CBC count done and I'm not sure what else :p I'm not sure if this test is solely for humira, or the azathroprine I'm also taking. Before when I first started taking azathroprine, I had to get blood tests every two weeks, but now only once a month cause my blood work always seems to turn out good. So idk if that helped you at all :p I would talk to your GI about it! If you feel like you should or want to, chances are you wil be able to!

I am on Cimzia (basically the same thing as humira, give or take) and my Dr. requires that I get bloodwork done every 3 months. I have CBC, CMP, SedRate, and CRP done each time. Every 6 months she checks my nutrient levels (B-12, Vit D, Iron, etc). The scary side effects of TNF-alpha inhibitors are very rare, but can be very serious. The regular bloodwork watches out for them. I would mention this concern to your doctor, I think 3-month bloodwork is a pretty standard practice for TNF-a inhibitors.

I started back on Humira 2 months ago. I also get tested every month for 6 and then every three months.

I have been on Humira for almost 2 years and get tested every 4 months. He usually checks my CBC, Vit D, B-12, along with a bunch others.
