had 3 abscesses now have a seton after 4th abscess

Hi first time on here.I have currently had 3 past abscessess.The past two i burst going to the toilet.

This time was 5 days AGO .I have this time had a seton placed in a blue band

i have also been told by the surgeon that i have to go for a mri in 3 weeks time.

the first 2 days was in heap pain but its ok now sort of enough to handle.

Its alnew to me this surgery with this in any other time i had packaging

Hi schulzenfest - Sorry I can't offer up too much advice.  I also had an abscess that burst while using the toilet and then turned into a perianal fistula, but I never had surgery on it.  It ended up healing on its own after a few years.  Are you on any maintenance medications for your Crohn's (assuming you have Crohn's)?  Some medications for Crohn's can help heal fistulas, like Remicade or Humira.  I'm sure others will come along who have had the same surgery as you and can give you their input.  Good luck to you!
