My sister-in-law has CD very badly. Her husband is in jeopardy of losing his job because she has been in the hospital so much. But they have two girls and they can't afford child care. Is there any program that is there to help people with their problems?

You didn't mention what country you are in. I don't know of anything available in the US, but I suggest contacting churches or other organizations such as the girls' school and see if you can help them set up some volunteers to help with the child care when your sister in law gets sick. Many people may be willing to help out if they knew there was a need. Good luck with everything

Gotta love a job market where you can lose your job through helping your spouse out during times of severe and unavoidable illness...

Things are what they are, though, unfortunately. I think what gumby suggested sounds good (any family on either side which can help as well?). But it may help to prepare for the worst, while hoping it doesn't come to the worse. Have you checked out what social security benefits are available, spoken to anybody, etc?
