I'm still having this unluckiest vacation and am supposed to drive my family home in the morning. I have been having a strange feeling for 3 days now: I feel that my heart is going to come out of its place,and sometimes there is a stabbing pain and passed out two times. I do have d and take imodium. I used to have this feeling many years before Crohn's. I was given then oxibral to supply my brain w more oxygen. After Crohn's my GI always was very harsh to me when I fainted and sent me to many psychiatrists who found nothing. It was all coz of anemia.
I also need to sneeze to have enough air or else I faint. I have sinusitis coz of GERD, I did all possible tests and a brain MRI w/o any avail. Does anyone feel you need air, very weak and sometimes pass out?
I intend to have a CBC once I get back home but don't know what to tell my GI.
I have been in a flare up for one month and a half and stayed for almost two weeks not eating properly coz of gastritis flare up and having to take nexium and zofran iv injections for 8 days.

The mobile dosen't allow me to write more. I wanted to add my current meds: 4g pentasa granules, 6mg entocort, pentasa enema, steroid enema, nexium 80 mg, ensure powder in mornings, multivitamins stopped since a month coz of gastritis in addition to my diet( no veggies or fruits).

Before I was diagnosed with Crohn's I went to the ER worrying that there was something wrong with my heart because it was racing and I felt short of breath. It turned out that I was severely anemic. There was nothing wrong with my heart. I had a bleeding ulcer in my small intestine. Go to an ER if you feel that bad. You might need a blood transfusion.

Are you anaemic now do you know?

Fainting and weakness could also be caused by not eating enough. But hopefully it is just anaemia, since that's easier to deal with.

You most certainly should NOT be driving under ANY circumstances in the condition you are reporting to us. To do so is criminal, no different than debliberately driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Most certainly you can't want to be putting your family at such risk!!

There HAS to be another way to get your family home - SAFELY! Enlist your family's advice and find the solution to everyone getting home SAFELY.

Dear all, thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Well, I managed, thanks God,. to drive my family home in the early morning. I was extremely alert. But since I have returned home I have been sleeping. Only woke up to take meds and then fell asleep again. I'll call my GI and ask for an appointment asap. I was suspecting pentasa granules but I think it is overexhaustion and malnutrition.

I'm extremely grateful that you and your family made it home safely. I'm not at all impressed that you insisted on driving home. It only takes a nano-second to snuff a life or lives w/a vehicle.
