A little story to cheer you up:
I've pestered my parents (who are now in their 60s) for the last 6+ years about
getting colonoscopies (after all, I had my first at 25 so they should certainly have had one by 60). I got married earlier this year and as a "wedding present" to me, my parents both had colonoscopies last month. During my father's colonoscopy, they biopsied a polyp, which turned out to be pre-cancerous. Luckily, everything was caught in time and both parents got a clean bill of health.
It's good to know that even as an adult, you can still wear down your parents when it really matters!

Nice going with your parents, and congrats on your wedding! My husband is 62 and still hasn't gotten a colonoscopy despite my nagging. Hmmmm maybe I should try asking for it for a birthday present...you gave me a good idea:)

My Dad who will be 66 this October has had two. The first one he had some polyps removed that came back benign. The second one that he had done this year came back completely clear. My Mom will be 62 later this month and hasn't had one yet. She says she needs to but when will she actually do it? Who knows? LOL

Their present to you...making every effort to watch as you marriage flourishes....how fantastic. I wish I could get my 82 year old Dad to go, but he only gets care if he's unconscious anymore.
Happy marriage!!!
