Endoscopy and colonoscopy initial impressions

Roxxy, the results that you mentioned are not only limited to Crohn's only. Why were these scopes recommended? What are you suffering from? The results you mentioned all have to do w the stomach and not the intestines nor the colon. Still you have to wait till the biopsies are out before you can tell whether it is Crohn's or not. Don't worry.

Have you had stool samples done?

Agree with Sherbear. Did you have other tests done like: calprotectin in stool, ESR, CRP and CBC? Why did they ask for scopes right away? Three weeks is not a long period to think of IBD. Many of us have had it for years before it was diagnosed. Have you got fever?
Hope it's just a bacterial infection and not IBD.

Don't worry and try to be relaxed. Hopefully, things will turn out to be good.

ESR is erythrocyte sedimentation rate (sometimes called sed rate).
CRP is c-reactive protein

Both are simple blood tests that show elevated results when/if there is inflammation somewhere in the body.

But they aren't perfect tests. If they're high, it's a clue that something is going on, but it doesn't necessarily mean Crohn's disease. And in some people they never get elevated, even when that person has active Crohn's.

So think of these tests as more clues or pieces of a puzzle, but not answers.

I haven't had diarreah since yesterday but I just had my first bowel movement after my colonoscopy and it looks dark, with spots of white fatty looking things. I'm starting to worry again . Those stool and sample tests can't come back fast enough.

THe diarreah returned and I saw pieces of chicken I ate the night before in my stool :( still no results because of the holidays. I am also being tested for ovarian cancer because of the symptoms and they found fluid in my pelvis after an ultrasound. It's been rough lately.
