I am new to the board and only one year with UC.  Currently on Liadla 2g/d, salofalk 1g/d. Not in remission but have gained back the 40# I lost and coping. Am developing all the other sx, I call the trifecta: psoriasis and RA.  considering a biologic (anti-TNF). anyone else will all three: UC, RA, and psoriasis and suggestions for treating all at once.?

Hi and Welcome to HealingWell.
There is Remicade, Humira and Cimzia. These TNF blocker drugs will help all 3 UC, RA and psoriasisa.

There's methotrexate, which is licensed to treat Crohn's, psoriasis and RA. It's not an anti-TNF med and I don't know how well it works for UC, as opposed to Crohn's.

The lastest Cochrane studies have not supported the use of Methotrexate for UC. It is unfortunate and unexpected finding as it has been assumed it was an alternate treatment. Do others use any of the typical psoriatic treatments or do most of "us" rely on the anti-TNF's?

Remicade and Humira are approved for all three.
