Intestinal abcess - help in general

So real quick. I was diagnosed with crohns in 2007. From then to 2010 I was on imuran, humira, Cimzia, methotrexate, remicade, pentasa, flagyl, cortosteroids, tysabri...not all at the same time. None of the big bios worked for my crohns. I had it severe in the anal cavity and most the large intestine. They did a total colectomy in 2010. Perm. Ileostomy.

The disease started to "flare" (the doctors are not associating any of my symptoms with flares) last October. They found 3 fistulae in my small intestine using the ct scanner. My other complaints can not me medically found.

I was admitted and found to have an intestinal abcess. The put a drain into my stomach and have me irrigate it 3 times a day for 7 days (I'm at day 7 and my check up appointment is still 6 days away) Irrigating the first two days were beyond painful. Now I'm getting leaking at site where the tube goes into my skin. It started out looking like puss and now its pretty clear. It also happens (leaks) 15 mins after I irrigate it. And the sever pain is back from irrigating. I've also been walking like an old man since I had this thing installed. Any muscle movement from my abdomin feels like a knife

My PC told me to call the surgeon. The surgeon told me the leaking is normal.

Does anyone know of this to be true? Is it ok to leak from the site where the tube goes in for the drain?

Hi I too had instestinal abcess and had a drain in for 3 month mine would also leak from the site When I told the hospital they did a scan again to check it was in the right place which it was and nthing else was done had it removed when I had surgery in January x
