Just wanted to let everyone know of a solution that worked for me regarding a chronic fissure I’d had for 3 years and tried pretty much every cream or suppository possible and some probiotics, to no avail.
I was having a small dental procedure a couple months ago which required me to take antibiotics for 7-10 days. I bought lactobacillus acidophilus as I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics. Once the antibiotics ran out, I figured I’d take the rest of my l. acidophilus (30 days total) since I’d already bought it and really what harm could it do? Anyhow I did sort of notice that bowel movements were going more smoothly. I didn’t get the sharp pain that feels like you’re passing a razor blade and I noticed much less blood. It’s common for me to bleed during almost every bowel movement. I did do some inspecting and saw the fissure was healed over…which I’d never seen before. Awesome feeling! So eventually I did run out of the l. acidophilus and noticed the pain and bleeding returned. I made it a top priority to pick up more and things turned better within a couple days and I’m still going strong.
Just wanted to post in case this can help anyone else!
