So I'm taking 9mg of Entocort (Budenofalk is the brand name here in Greece) for quite a long time. Called my pharmasist this morning to order my medication since today I took the last three pills, and he called back saying that this medication cannot be found in the greek market anymore, PLUS there is no replacement medication available either!!! This is due to some weird politics of the pharmaceutical companies which I don't understand...
I called my doctor and he said no problem, but I know I cannot quit cold blood without reducing the dosage... He said "oh that's an opportunity for us to start on the Immuran I was begging you to take for so many months", but I want to take Immuran only when I decide to, not because I HAVE to because there are no other options.. And what happens if in 2-3 months the company decides to withdraw Immuran from the greek market? I mean that is crazy!!!
I'm so angry at the whole system I guess....
