For Kazbern: getting thryoid tests end of August

Well, I saw my GP this morning and that's when he said to get them done. I could have argued about it, but I don't think my thyroid is causing the itchy skin. I think it's either a very prolonged reaction to the anaestheisa and pain meds (like my GP seems to think), or - and I hope not - an autoimmune reaction to my skin.

Anyway, gotta go, in a right rush. I'm gonna go back to taking a couple of meds my GP prescribed a few weeks ago, hydroxyzine and cimetidine, 'cos I didn't give them enough time last time (ie gave up on them instantly >.>) He recommended that, and I'm gonna try it.

Also, on a different note, I have an appointment with the psychologist next week! 25th July. Okay, gotta dash, my mum is waiting mad impatiently for me to give her a lift. Laters :p

I hope you enjoy your weekend of solitude. Most of my weekends are like that, to be fair, but this weekend is going to be the opposite. My mum is babysitting my two nephews all weekend, and I'll be joining her tomorrow.

To be honest, I'd rather not go... :-/ The hot weather and the insomnia (I can only fall asleep with sleeping pills: not good) is a drain. On the other hand, heat makes my skin much better: really, really hoping that the itchiness won't become severe again when the weather cools down.

Anyway, if I do go, I'll probably get dragooned into going to this rubbish fair that we also went to last year (only last year there was more mud than ground, at least this year it'll be dry). We went on the dodgems: I was with the older boy, who kept on crashing into other people's cars - it got old after the first 3 crashes and the ride felt like it went on for an eternity. My mum and younger nephew were cowering in another car and had to be rescued by the surly East European attendant more than once.
