time to change docs?

I've been debating for a while now whether or not to change my GI doc.  My current one I've been with for several years now but he seems to have become complacent with my care.  Even DH said the last couple of scopes I had the doc seemed to be in a rush and not want to go over the results very well.  It's probably better to change now before the whole insurance/provider mess comes to a head here in Pittsburgh(large carrier vs largest provider).  But I just hate starting over again.  UGH.  Anyway, symptoms have been rampant I didn't even leave my house this weekend and I think I just need to put on my big girl panties and go for it.

Sorry for rambling, just need someone else to kick me in the butt and tell me not to wait.

 

Hey lamb...I have been pondering the same thing myself since about December.  I like gumby's idea of a second opinion...I once left a GI for another that was supposed to be great....realized too late that I left a great guy when I should ahve just spoken up more or been more patient for when symptoms were a little more noticeable.

The reason I tell you that is having light symptoms and moving was a mistake for me...but now I have symptoms that are not the "usual" gut issues and I find a complacency like you mention.  I would consider a move now....but I will follow gumby's advice if I get up my gumption.

Amazingly I got a quick appointment with a new doc. Which kind of makes me wonder why he has such an open schedule?????? I think I am going to use this as a second opinion, that way I'm not cutting ties. I knew you guys would e the voice of reason.

girlzilla , I've been seeing Dr baidoo at upmc. I used to really like him but.....
