So what you do if you live in a country where GI's dont know about Crohn

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 20 years old and live in Karachi, Pakistan and have typical Crohn symptoms.
Ab pain, vomiting blood in diehhrea................please suggest

There are a lot of medical problems besides Crohn's disease that can cause those symptoms. At a minimum, see if you can get blood lab tests and stool cultures. I don't know how long this has been going on for you, but you might have an infection. I don't know anything about the medical system in Pakistan, but maybe someone will come along who does. Sorry you feel so sick!

I am sure there might be some American doctors there...no? Are you in a region where there are a lot of tourists? Usually there is always someone who is familiar with it, you just have to look very carefully. Do a search, look online for Crohns and your city name...Maybe find a forum like this one in your country. Something has to happen for you, trust in God, He will show you the way. I am sure there is a GI around there that can at least prescribe you something to lessen symptoms for now.

On a Google search I found a web page for the Aga Khan University Hospital, which says they have a special team for gastrointestinal bleeding. Here is a link to their website:

I'm sorry to hear you're so sick. Your symptoms could be Crohn's or some other digestive illness and you do need treatment. It may seem that it's simpler in the U.S. or U.K. to get diagnosed compared to your country, but it took some of us a long time to be diagnosed correctly. For me, it took close to 25 years from the onset. Thankfully, today, doctors world-wide are more aware of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis, so your chances of being listened to are better than mine were when I was young.

Ironically, the gastroenterologist who diagnosed me here in the U.S. is Pakistani and had his medical training there. I hope you find a doctor who can help find out what's wrong.

What part of your abdomen Is the pain centered or located ? When I first had major Crohn's flare-up at 25, I met an older gentleman who suggested that I take Aloe Vera Juice for digestive illnesses, so I tried it. Guess what ? It worked to alleviate the pain & inflammation. I had my 2nd doctor visit to test and access my condition. The Crohns did not show up on the x-rays, It was very evident in my first test in a barium enema the x-rays showed a very prominently narrowed area in my small intestine on the right side. This did not show up in the second test. I had already eliminated all the foods and liquids that caused me to have diarrea and pain. (all Milk or milk products, coffee even decaf, greasy foods, orange juice, sausages). Aloe Vera might be worth a try until you see a doctor for testing.
I have been using Aloe Vera to help the symptoms of crohns for years now. Along with good diet and vitamin supplements.
