so, although my crohn's is active, I can manage it and got to work and travel for work. So as some of you know I also deal with A-fib. my doctors have strongly urged me to get aggressive with treatment. there are no more meds I can take for it. They are suggesting a surgical approach which would require a heart lung machine and a 4 +/- hour operation. they will not need to crack
open my chest, but still a lot of work to do in my chest and heart. the recovery is about
5 to 6 days in hospital and then 3 weeks out of work. I am still work though all my doctors to get them on same page as the cardiologist and have all my bases covered. this is a more advanced treatment than what they told me a few weeks ago, but they are like if you are going to do it go all the wy which eliminates any return visits if they miss a spot to ablate.
so, I need to focus on this medical problem for a while. I will check in around the end of the year as we are trying to have the surgery late Nov or early Dec.
thanks to all for your support for the crohn's. I hope I am making the right choice to do this surgical ablation..
