GI appointment today finally...and we're having a winter bilzzard!!

Well, I have to say being up this early really sucks...but so does having CD...finally my appointment day is here and hopefully he'll examine me and easily find what's going on with this suspected recto-vaginal fistula thing...I can honestly say, if I hadn't started with smoking the mj Oct 15 for the severe pain and terrible shape I was in, I don't even think I'd be typing or breathing right now lol...I'll post back when I get back from my appointment.

Hope you have a good appointment and the dr helps you get it figured out. I keep hearing more and more about how medical MJ in it's various forms are helping people. Glad it's giving you relief.

Based on what I described he feels it's more than likely a recto-vaginal fistula, he's sending me for colonoscopy (jan 21), MRI (have to wait for them to call me with appointment date), chest xray (can't remember why cuz I had to do some mj before we went today) and get me all checked out to see if I can go on remicade (he said it's the best med for this fistula) so TB test (and I think that might be why he's sending me for chest xray??) So it'll be a while yet...so glad the mj has gotten rid of my pain and has been helping with frequency.

Thanks gumby, that's what I'm sure they said too, but it was information overload yesterday lol so I couldn't remember for sure. I hope it works too, CD is bad enough, this scary fistula makes me mad. Honestly I'm surprised it happened so many years later considering I've been sick the entire time, I thought I would have had fistulas long ago and when I didn't, I didn't think I was ever gonna get one...I hate IBD.

Wow that would be nice if the remi did something positive for my anal tags (hahaha "tag buddy") I didn't even consider that, probably because mine were banded, but hey who knows...so long as it doesn't stir up more issues than what I already have lol.
