Hi
I am new to this site. I had a fissure for almost 2 years, finally I decided to have internal lateral spictorotomy on nov 21. Within 3 days of surgery I developed a ball size of an orange of an abscess, which was drained on nov 27 via surgery. I only had packing for 24 hours, then I was sent home. The recovery had not been easy, it been so painful and unbearable!! I've gone back to emergency room bc I keep draining pus, which they say is normal. All they do is a painful rectal exam and told they don't think I have a fistula.
However now I have a lot if scar tissue large, from where the access was formed. Not I'm not draining pus (as the last 24 hours). I don't find many post about the scar tissue, which I feel is going from a ball/cone shape like to more flat and wider. Today it's not that painful (bc everything hurts so my perception if pain soreness is all messed up) to touch it's not red but it's larger and harder and wide. I'm terrified it's another abscess that wasn't cleared in surgery. And im not draining pus, I'm currently in antibiotics, but I'm so fearful that this large hard mass might be another abscess
How have your experience been with healing the scar tissue or probably forming another abscess.
