Why is pain severer this time than any other time

I'm having a new flare up. Managed to see GI after his assistant suggested I increase Imodium since I had 17 trips to the bathroom. D was not that annoying as was the pain. I was sitting in the waiting room crying out of pain. When he saw me, he was quite sure which parts caused all this trouble: TI and beginning of colon. My GI is a type of secretive person who never tells the patient anything. He asked if these parts hurt. He suggested I eat only boiled food until this flare up passes. He put me on antispasmodics and painkiller injections only when needed for max 3 days. I took the injections twice yesterday and tried to bear up w the pain today but the pain is severer. Normally, he tells me to wait for 3 days until meds kick in and then call him if things get worse. Imuran, Entocort and Pentasa are as is w/o any changes. But pain is horrible this time. It goes away for some time and then comes back. Is this my Christmas gift; a new development in my condition. I recall the pain of the first flare up was as severe as this one but I was not medicated. A lot of you have a higher degree of this dd but it seems that by age, I get new gifts.

Usher, thank you very much. I'm already on a very restricted diet and have stomach problems but promise to read more about SCD and other Crohnies experience w it. It seems I'm heading towards a new complication of my disease. Pain does not subside. I had to take the Olfen injection as I couldn't bear it. Now, I'm starting a new cold. For the last month, I have had a cold. I don't know what's happening to me. I feel that I'm losing control. This in turn would require a stronger med. All I have to do is to wait and see how things will go on.
