Tenesmus

Today, I had severe cramps. Rushed to the bathroom but couldn't pass anything. At the same time, I had severe headache and nausea. I have been suffering from this condition every 2 or 3 months but lately it's recurring every two or three weeks. I failed to explain it to my GI. Today I couldn't bear it and rushed to the GP. She said that this was caused by the rectal spasm I have and suggested I take an antispasmodic injection. The injection put things at bay. But when I went home, cramps increased and I burst into explosive D. I don't have any appetite to eat and just drank Ensure. Those w tenesmus, how do you deal w it?

Pb4, thank you. Forgot to mention that my GI prescribed last time suppositories used for proctitis and hemmies. I don't like suppositories and don't take them regularly. I can't figure out the reason why both my GI and surgeon decided I should boycott enemas since my last abscess in July. I feel more comfortable w enemas. May be coz I have rectal spasm and things are closed down there. Have no idea. But have a bad experience of injuring my rectum w the tip of the enema when I had rectal stenosis. Could be the reason they decided I shouldn't take enemas.
