Hi all,
I have my bowel resection scheduled for next Wednesday, and I am counting down the days! Have been in so much pain lately, my stomach is extremely tender where the terminal ileum is (hurts to touch, bend over etc), and have been getting lots of sharp stabbing pains which are excruciating! Also have a fever, so my Dr has got me on antibiotics and if no improvement wants me to go into hospital this week. I am assuming the pains are wind/digestion related, as I had mainly liquids yesterday (soup, smoothie, white bread) and I am feeling a lot better today, sure still painful but nowhere near as bad. Have also noticed the majority of my pain is in the morning....do you think this is digestion related, and if so can you suggest some foods that will cause the least discomfort? I am scared to eat much more than liquid at the moment.. So would like to expand my limited diet..Wondering if smoothies are ok (anyone have any recipes?).. 1 week til surgery.. The countdown is on.. I just want to start the healing!
