I have been recently diagnosed with Crohn's in Dec '13, my doctor said that I have a stricture at my terminal ilieum. I am on no medications at this time, but they are talking about
a resection surgery. Was wondering for those that have had a stricture removal in the terminal ilieum if you had to be on medications after the surgery? I am trying to avoid the medications as long as possible as I have a history of histoplasmosis and the meds can cause it to return. My current ESR (sed rate) is 35 and my current c-reactive protein i (CRP) is 2.6....I know that they are elevated, but I don't know if they are "worrisome" numbers....Do your numbers get higher than that when you have a "flare", this is all new to me as I have never had any problems before.
