Removing a wisdom tooth soon. Worried!

My dentist told me several times before that I have to take out two wisdom teeth. Since he knows that I get problems w anesthesia and antibiotics, he told me to choose the timing and to make arrangements w my GI.
My GI said I have to take some precautionary measures: I have to take 2 Zofran 8 mg IM injections and ceftriaxone 2 g IM injections a day before the pulling of the tooth, on the same day and 2 days after. I'll end up having to take 16 IM injections.
I know my stomach very well and I know that I can't tolerate any oral antibiotics any more. I'm just worried. Whenever I take anesthesia or antibiotics, I get a flare up. I'm in a critical situation: the tooth got broken and it started to injure the inner linings if my mouth; I've got ulcers but I'm at the same time I'm dreading getting a new flare up. I have also to call my GI to double check whether Rifaximin contraindicates w ceftriaxone. When he told me about the arrangements 2 months ago, I was not yet put on Rifaximin. I keep postponing the pulling of the tooth.
We are really lucky :( All my family members and friends get their teeth removed, take oral antibiotics w/o any complications. But we, poor Crohnies, have to suffer. Thanks God!

Hmm, when I had my wisdom teeth removed (and more recently when I had another tooth removed because of crowding), I wasn't put on antibiotics.

Also, when I had my wisdom teeth removed (I did all four at once), I choose not to get anesthesia because it was going to cost extra (and I was 25 and didn't want to pay the extra $300). So I just had local anesthesia (lidocaine or something similar). Same with the other tooth. It wasn't bad at all.

Vitaka, thank you very much. Well, I think Imuran made me immunocompromised; that's why, my GI wants to put me on a high dose of antibiotics. When I had my perianal abscess last summer, he put me on 1g antibiotic IM injections only for a week after I finished several oral antibiotic rounds for 3 weeks. This time, he seemed worried as he knows my digestive system's reaction and he even asked me when I was going to remove the wisdom tooth. I wish I could have the two (actually they are two but one is more annoying than the other) extracted at the same time.
Still, I have to call my GI for asking about taking ceftriaxone w Rifaximin. Hope things go on well and I do not end up w a flare up as usual.

i had my 4 back molars and all three wisdom teeth removed all at once last year. it's not so bad. turns out i get severe opioid induced constipation, so the vicodint hey gave me was useless. compared to my guts, though, it was a walk in the park. i just took tylenol for a few days.


the procedure itself was weird. i went with local/nitrous, as i needed to drive home. the flesh was all numb but the bones weren't, so it hurt somewhat while he was working. but i just breathed in more nitrous and suddenly didn't care.

i think you'll be fine. get that thing out before it causes more damage!

Bane, thank you very much. I'll negotiate the idea of having both wisdom teeth extracted at the same time.
My GI told me to ask for a lot of local lidocaine to be sprayed before the procedure. I'm really starting to panic but I have to calm myself down. My fear is not coz of the procedure though partly yes but of the probable consequences on my colon.
