Since September of last year I have been battling a flare. Not sure what brought it on perhaps nothing specific but it was quite the shocker after a three year remission with very few symptoms. Dr prescribed Prednisone and Entocort and we upped the dosage on my Lialda back to 4 pills a day. This has been a weird flare for me because I alternated between feeling like my old self to having days again that were just bleh. Then I caught a wicked infection of some sort that attacked my liver apparently because I had all sorts of crazy issues with that to include crazy high liver enzyme readings. I have my final follow test on my GGT and hepatic function next week. All my other readings were thankfully back to normal.
Now finally finally! I decided to give myself a swift kick, get back to the gym and start eating better. Have been able to go for an entire week and am super excited about it! I know that my crohns can only improve if I am taking care of myself but as everyone on here knows it is hard to have the motivation when you are miserable.
Right now I am loving going again and hope and pray I keep feeling well enough to continue. I forgot how much I loved working out. It is sad what this disease strips from you.
