I don't think I have any answers for you, but I've had some pseudo-weird issues with my periods in recent years. This might be because I would take the pill continuously for 2-3 months and then take a couple days off to have my period (I get migraines the days when I'm not on birth control). After awhile, I stopped having periods completely, which freaked me out, but my OBGYN said it was just likely the continuous use thinned out the lining of my uterus, so there wasn't anything to shed. For the last year and a half, I take actual pills every day and haven't had a period since.
I know many women have intensified symptoms with Crohn's when menstruating, so it probably isn't too far of a stretch to assume it could impact you in other ways. But if you're concerned, give your doctor's office a call and ask.
