I need advice

Long story short, I started to feel bad after a couple months of what I thought was remission. I went back to my GI and he put me back on pred. The past few days have been hell. At first it was continued multiple D a day and pain. Now my stomach is distended and becoming more & more distended. It is painful too. I've had a nasty taste in my mouth that I can't get to go away. My stools are solid now, which is a good thing. I have been VERY lethargic. I have no energy, motivation and can't seem to rest. I do have a lot of personal stress going on in my life and not being able to function physically is only adding to it. I don't know what to do. Can someone help?

If your stomach is becoming more distended and you're really fatigued I agree with the above poster that you need to call your doctor as it could be a sign of an infection. Prednisone works wonders and it usually makes you feel restless, but it usually makes you feel like cleaning all your closets out, not more tired. Since it shuts your immune system down, you can have an underlying infection get out of hand, so it's best to call. Keep us informed. -Joy

HI Rockstar- sorry to be Debbie Downer... But just because you haven't heard anything back on your blood and stool tests doesn't mean everything is OK. I would call them and ask.
