My daughter does not take pain meds, just tramadol and only for the first 48 hrs after surgery. She has an epidural with numbing meds, but only enough to take the edge off so she can walk. So because of this she usually goes within the first 24 to 48 hours. Everything inside is tender and hers was
open surgeries so everything hurt.
I didnt know you had to share a bathroom, if she has a roomate and shares a bathroom then she asks for a bedside commode. Since you are going home tomorrow it's probably not an option but you could ask of you are concerned with sharing the bathroom with the new patient. You could also ask if the patient poses Any risk to you. I remember one time while waiting for hours in the NY ER a patient was in isolation but the nurse kept leaving the door
open when she came on and out. My daughter was on a bed in the hallway outside that room so I asked was it safe to leave the door
open and the nurse closed it after that. All I am saying is that it will not hurt to ask and put your mind at ease.
Thank you for asking, my daughter did see Hanauer and she is having a MRE tom.
I hope you have a good night and poop!
