Remission for the first time in years..and now constipation?

Hello!

I have been taking Cimzia for about 6 months, and am finally in remission. So so happy, and so thankful. But i was wondering if anyone else has had issues with constipation while in remission? I eat very clean-and have a healthy balance of fats/carbs/protein in order to continue to gain muscles with lifting, so that may have something to do with it. I find that i won't go to the bathroom for a couple days (crazy for someone with Crohn's!), my abdomen feels hard and bloated, and then the weirdest feeling...like something "drops" and i get sharp pains and gas and bloating. I go to the bathroom a few times over the course of the day, and then i'm cleaned out. This happens about once a month, either right after i do my injections, or close to the end before my next one.

Every heard of this?

I will take this ANY day over my bleeding ulcers and diarrhea, but just wondering..Thanks!!

One thing I've learned through dealing with the disease is a proper "mover" without cramping or side effects. Miralax. I used to get a prescription for the polyethylene glycol 3350, then it came out as over the counter Miralax. When taken in the recommended doasages, it works transparently, and gently. I recommended it to relatives that had surgeries and were prescribed painkillers that are known to stop everything from moving, and they've never been more comfortable.

I second the Miralax comment. I know gumby used it pretty faithfully for a long time as well.
Until recently, I would get very constipated immediately following Remicade, and it would last for a week or two (and I often had to take more drastic measures).

Now that I've swung back the other way after a year+ of constipation, I still think it's worse than D.
