Flare! What do you do for it?

Honestly, I'd be more concerned about the steroids.

I've been on Remicade or Humira for a total of 12 years now. They gave me my life back. Prednisone really helps when things are bad, but I'm still paying for damage the Prednisone did 14 years ago. I avoid Prednisone unless it's that or surgery. My GI agrees, he won't put me on it unless it's getting really bad.

Never heard about the immunization link. I've been getting all my normal immunizations for years, including annual influenza, etc.

I just came off a pretty bad flare, and the only thing that worked for me was antibiotics and going on a full liquid diet for a few weeks. Gut rest is what they've always done for me in the hospital. I've never messed with cannabis, too much unknown. At least with the prescription medications, I've got legal recourse if something goes wrong.

I'm fairly certain that MMJ is a no-no for all baby related things, including nursing. I used edibles for my Fibromyalgia mainly prior to TTC and it was helpful for pain and sleep issues but didn't really seem to help my CD in the short term (not sure about long term as I was only trying the MMJ in order to feel good enough to TTC, so it wasn't long.)

I would try a biologic over steroids for sure, esp when it came to the health of my child. Also, you might feel better if you stop breastfeeding. I don't really know but it seems that it would be more beneficial for a child to have a healthy mom than to breastfeed at the expense of a healthy mom. Just a thought.
