Hot/Cold flashes after ostomy Reversal

I had my colostomy reversal about a week and a half ago. I came home from the hospital on sunday and since then I have been having severe hot and cold flashes. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had hot/cold flashes after a surgery.

I'm sorry you're dealing with hot/cold flashes on top of trying to recover from the surgery. If it were hot flashes only (and if you're female with functioning ovaries; I don't know) I would wonder about your ovaries having trauma during surgery. BUT the combination of hot and cold could be a sign of something else. You should call your doctor. Are you running any fever? It could be a sign of infection.
