Around a month ago, my GI informed me that I have dysmotility and the good bacteria of my intestines had decreased due to excessive medicines. He put me on a motility regulator and a probiotic. I could go for 8 days w/o having a single bm. Then, suddenly, I would have explosive watery d w severe pain. The combo of a motility regulator and probiotic didn't work and I was suffering.
I saw my GI again and he decided to stop the probiotic and said I have to take the motility regulator after 4 days of not having a bm and if d ensues, I have to take Imodium for 2 days. I objected to the idea but he said I have to follow these instructions.
Now, my d has gone and I have gone back 7 years in time when I lived all my life suffering from severe constipation that could last for 14 days.
D has been a blessing for me. I always feel bloated, nauseated and it affects my life. At work, many times, I keep suffering coz of the need to have a bm but I can't as I keep straining and nothing comes out. In order to have a bm, I have to insert glycerin suppositories.
Last week, I accompanied my mum to the market. While shopping, I had a severe headache and the urge to use the bathroom and pass gases. We sat in a cafe to have a drink and I needed to take panadol extra as my GI told me to take it whenever headache hits. I had a sip of tea and asked mum to leave for home. We stood in the street and suddenly I was very dizzy and about
to faint. We took a taxi and I threw up in the taxi. At home, I kept suffering until I had a bm.
I keep straining and I think that the stool takes time to come out and what comes out is very minimal compared to the time it takes me to have a bm. I now go on for 6 or more days w/o having a bm.
So, why should I keep my 9mg Entocort if I'm constipated all the time? I stopped Pentasa.
Really, I want d back
